【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishestheperformancecharacteristicsrequiredformechanicallyattachedfittings(MAFs)foruseinpipingandtubingsystems.Thesefittingsdirectlyattachtopipeortubebymechanicaldeformationofthepipeortubeorfitting,oracombinationthereof,creatingasealandarestrainedjoint.Thesealmaybecreatedviathemechanicaldeformationorcreatedindependently.Successfulcompletionofthetestsdescribedconstitutescompletionofthetechnicalportionofthequalificationprocess.1.2Supplementaryrequirementsareprovidedforusewhenadditionaltestingorinspectionisdesired.Theseshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedinpartorwholebythepurchaserintheorder.Unlessotherwisespecified,U.S.Navycontractsshallinvokethesupplementaryrequirementsinwhole.1.3UnlessspecificMAFtypesarespecified,theterm"MAF"shallapplytoalltypesdescribedherein.1.4ThetestsspecifiedinSectionanddescribedinandSupplementaryRequirementsareapplicableonlytoascertaintheperformancecharacteristicsofMAFs.Thesetestsarenotintendedforuseintheevaluationofnon-MAFproducts.1.5AfireperformancetestisspecifiedinSupplementaryRequirementS7.ThistestprovidesgeneralguidelinestodeterminetheresponsivenessofMAFswhensubjectedtofire.Thistestshouldnotbeconsideredforusetoevaluatenon-MAFproducts.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7ThefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatappliesonlytothetestslistedinSectionandthetestsdescribedintheSupplementarySection13andtheAnnexofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishestheperformancecharacteristicsrequiredformechanicallyattachedfittings(MAFs)foruseinpipingandtubingsystems.Thesefittingsdirectlyattachtopipeortubebymechanicaldeformationofthepipeortubeorfitting,oracombinationthereof,creatingasealandarestrainedjoint.Thesealmaybecreatedviathemechanicaldeformationorcreatedindependently.Successfulcompletionofthetestsdescribedconstitutescompletionofthetechnicalportionofthequalificationprocess.1.2Supplementaryrequirementsareprovidedforusewhenadditionaltestingorinspectionisdesired.Theseshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedinpartorwholebythepurchaserintheorder.Unlessotherwisespecified,U.S.Navycontractsshallinvokethesupplementaryrequirementsinwhole.1.3UnlessspecificMAFtypesarespecified,theterm"MAF"shallapplytoalltypesdescribedherein.1.4ThetestsspecifiedinSectionanddescribedinandSupplementaryRequirementsareapplicableonlytoascertaintheperformancecharacteristicsofMAFs.Thesetestsarenotintendedforuseintheevaluationofnon-MAFproducts.1.5AfireperformancetestisspecifiedinSupplementaryRequirementS7.ThistestprovidesgeneralguidelinestodeterminetheresponsivenessofMAFswhensubjectedtofire.Thistestshouldnotbeconsideredforusetoevaluatenon-MAFproducts.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7ThefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatappliesonlytothetestslistedinSectionandthetestsdescribedintheSupplementarySection13andtheAnnexofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
